Build your business marketing plan with tried, tested and LOCAL strategies to attract and retain customers. In this workshop, you’ll hear from four local entrepreneurs who are finding success in our community.

Whether you are a startup or established business knowing when to invest more into your marketing efforts is important. You are either spending your time or your money. We will take some time to reflect on what is more important for the growth of your company.

Event format:

7:05 pm – Speaker presentation by PUSH Cycling Studio (Tammy Block and Janine Hartsook)
7:25 pm – Speaker presentation by Tara Molina, Realtor
7:45 pm – Speaker presentation by oranj fitness (Naomi Keane)
8:05 pm – Speaker presentation by Suzy Rounce from Switchback Creative (3 tips for investing in your tribe/marketing)
8:25 pm – Questions, event wrap-up, gather event feedback

Speaker bios:

PUSH Cycling Studio:
Co-founders and childhood friends from a small town in Saskatchewan, Janine Hartsook and Tammy Block have always had a passion for community, health, and fitness. Toward the end of 2013, Janine and Tammy put their plan of opening Airdrie’s first spin studio into motion and were accepted into Airdrie’s first year of the SMARTstart entrepreneurship program to help achieve their goals. They built their community and brand around the “US” in PUSH because we are all in this life together and the energy and support we give each other will help us achieve amazing things!

PUSH Cycling Studio earned the 2016 Airdrie Emerging Business Award, presented to a small business that demonstrates outstanding customer service, growth and actively participates in the community. Tammy and Janine have both been nominated for Amazing Women of Airdrie Awards and strive to inspire and support all women to live their best lives.

Tara Molina Real Estate:
Tara Molina is an uber passionate and energetic Airdrie REALTOR ® with a love for real estate and an even bigger love for helping clients reach their full sales potential. Since 2007, and as a compliment to her role as an Airdrie REALTOR ®, Tara has been at the helm of New Wave Media, a full-service marketing agency that specializes in developing strategic marketing campaigns for a variety of industries – including real estate.

With a diverse entrepreneurial background, Tara has experience in a variety of industries. This includes broadcasting in New York City, as well as owning several successful businesses in Calgary, Alberta. With an educational background focused in business, communications, and real estate, Tara has been able to make these fields work together, forming a creative and analytical trio that thrives in the real estate industry.

oranj fitness:
Naomi Keane is the owner of oranj fitness. In the fall of 2016, Naomi and her father Warren opened their first oranj fitness in Airdrie, Alberta. They are very excited to be joining the Kensington community of Calgary with their 2nd location in 2019. Naomi has a background in education, dance, fitness, and nutrition. Over her years of teaching, she has had the honour of teaching 1000s of participants and she has learned that community and accountability can make or break your results. She strives to cultivate an empowering, supportive, and inclusive community everywhere she goes. She takes a stand for a daily routine that incorporates movement, self-growth, and passion.

Switchback Creative:
Suzy Rounce is a graphic designer by trade and can’t imagine doing anything else. Her and her husband Trevor, own Switchback Creative and have been around for 6 years. They have worked with more than 220 clients in that time.

Being a visual communicator allows Suzy to research and get to know companies from both a strategic and creative perspective. With 18+ years of experience working with small + medium-size businesses, home developers, executives, boutique companies and local cultural organizations have taught her a lot about what matters to business owners and how to create the biggest impact based on their goal.

Switchback is all about digital storytelling and helping to take very busy, passionate business owners’ visions to the next chapter.
